I am exciting to announce a new initiative that I am leading!
The Medical Student Forum on Female Sexual Dysfunction is an organization to facilitate Chicago area medical students to collaborate, learn, and educate their academic peers about female sexual dysfunction (FSD). Female sexual function is impacted by countless medical conditions. This knowledge is a critical component of a comprehensive medical education yet is typically underrepresented in the medical school curriculum. At the Forum, students will advocate within their academic communities on the importance of including FSD in medical school education and training. These efforts will culminate in a city-wide medical student symposium featuring experts in the field of FSD.
Our advisor is Lauren Streicher, MD, a clinical professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Feinberg School of Medicine and Medical Director of the Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause.
